Tour Schedule

7.15pm – Explore Catalunya Office, opposite the Palau de la Musicá

You will join your tour at our main office, which is right across from the world famous Palau de la Musicá, where you´ll be introduced to your guide who will give you an introduction to the evening. Your tour will start at 7.30pm, but we always recommend arriving 15 minutes before. There are restrooms available.

7.30pm – Eixample District, Barcelona

Your evening begins with a leisurely stroll through the Eixample district to discover a tapas gem and one of Barcelona’s best Modernist-style bars.

The bar serves up delicious small plates of Catalan favorites such as pa amb tomàquet (bread with olive oil and tomatoes) and patates braves (potatoes with oil, red pepper and chili, served with aioli). Your guide will teach you how to prepare the pa amb tomàquet, and, while you sit down to savour the different dishes, he’ll entertain you with stories about Catalunya.

8.45pm – Born District, Barcelona

Walk off your first tapas with a stroll to the Born district, listening to your guide talking about Barcelona’s history, food and culture as you go. Your destination is one of the most popular neighbourhood bars. Head inside and sample some of the best tapas in town as you stand shoulder to shoulder with the locals.

9.45pm – Gothic Quarter, Barcelona

Continue your stroll through the Born, passing the Barcelona Cathedral and the old Roman city walls, and then wind your way to the heart of the Gothic Quarter to Plaça Reial, a bustling nighttime square near La Rambla, where the highlight of your evening awaits – a flamenco performance inside one of the oldest flamenco bars in Barcelona!

The show includes all of the traditional elements of a flamenco performance, including dancing, singing and Spanish guitar songs. This very Spanish dance is based on the various folk music traditions of southern Spain in the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Extremadura and Murcia.

There is perhaps no other art form that is so associated with a country as flamenco, but it is far more than just dance; it includes cante (singing), toque (guitar playing), baile (dance), jaleo (vocalizations and chorus clapping), palmas (handclapping) and pitos (finger snapping). The flamenco bar you visit is a very intimate venue, and the performers are some of the best up and coming stars of flamenco.

10.45pm – Plaça Reial, Gothic Quarter, Barcelona

After the show, you’ll be taken to a popular local bar for a drink and and some ‘people watching’ in one of the most popular nightspots in town located in the famous Plaza Reial in the Gothic Quarter. Your guide will leave you here to enjoy the rest of the evening, or they’ll be happy to show you the best way back to your hotel.
