For almost 20 years, Explore Catalunya has been offering small group day tours to thousands of people from all over the world.
Today, we operate a small fleet of minibuses and minivans, are proud to have a team of over 20 professional local guides, and a support staff working out of our headquarters in the heart of Barcelona. 
It’s a long way from our humble beginnings…
Back in the early days days, Explore Catalunya was practically one man and his van. Our faithful bright green VW minivan travelled all over Catalunya, taking handfuls of visitors from all over the world to far flung corners of our region, as well as visiting the classic tourist attractions.
Our philosophy back then was the same as today: to give our customers an unforgettable memory and to make each person feel as special as possible. In fact, I always tell our trainee guides to imagine that they are showing visiting family and friends around for the day. It’s that feeling of intimacy and warmth that makes us stand out from the rest.
We might have grown from a small one man operation into one of the leading day tour operators in Spain – in 2019 we proudly showed over 40,000 visitors the best of Catalunya – but we have never lost sight of where we came from.
Whether you join a tour with just two people, or find yourself in a small group of around 16, you’ll end your day with some unforgettable series, and a bunch of brand new friends.
Our Philosophy
At Explore Catalunya, we believe that joining one of our small group day tours, is the very best way to see not just the highlights of Barcelona and the region, but also to discover hidden jewels that only a local knows about. From knowing where the keys are kept to a tiny mountain church, to which street vendors will let your taste their food for free, or the quickest way to the best spot on the beach, they will go out of their way to make your day with us the best day of your vacation.
Each tour has been carefully designed to include some guided sections, as well as plenty of free time to explore by yourself. Some people might be put of by the idea of a guided tour, but at Explore Catalunya, we like to say on our tours, you are On Your Own, but Never Alone.
